We hosted our first event as a Food Not Bombs chapter this weekend! Here is a recap of how it went.

With $132.40 worth of groceries and some donations from friends, we set up in Esterhazy Public Library at noon on Saturday. So many people came by that by 12:15pm we had to send volunteers out to buy another $60.64 of food.
In total we received $212.40 plus three boxes of fresh produce before the event. We also raised $31.15 in donations during the event. We spent a total of $193.04 on groceries, leaving us with $50.51 leftover.
During the event, we counted 36 adults and at least 6 children who came to the table for food. We had 5 volunteers with us throughout the day helping with grocery shopping, table management, and cleanup.
Any food that was leftover at the end of the day was donated to Our House Saskatchewan.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible.
